WHATS IS THE MASTER PLAN?

The Marsh Farm Masterplan - For the future of the community

The Masterplan project is a major regeneration programme which aims to revitalise the estate by improving community facilities, housing and the environment of the neighbourhood.

The Masterplan is made up of 5 separate projects

  1. A new Community Enterprise Resource Centre (CERC)
  2. The redevelopment of the Purley Centre and nearby central area
  3. Building new affordable replacement housing
  4. Overall improvements to the neighbourhood environment
  5. Better CCTV coverage across the central area of the estate

The residents of Marsh Farm and the wider community have told us what improvements THEY would like to see on the estate. The Masterplan sets these out in a programme which will make a huge contribution to the regeneration of Marsh Farm, making it a more attractive, safer and welcoming place to live, work and visit.

Some enhancement works are already underway or have been completed and residents can already see what is being done and the differences being made. During 2009 these works will move up a gear with major redevelopments and schemes that will positively change the face of the estate for everyone in Marsh Farm now and in the future.
