A fun day for all at the festival

The sun was shining for Marsh Farm on Sunday when more than 1000 local people came to Freemans Green for a day of fun at the One World One Community Festival.

The day included a great stage line up, a host of stalls, exhibitions, food, displays, entertainment and a car boot sale. There was also a football tournament to people in the mood for the World Cup final in the evening.

Families were able to visit the tents of both MFCDT and the new succession organisation Marsh Farm Futures and had the opportunity to talk with staff and see the latest plans for the estate including the new indoor play park and improving the local landscape.

Dave Crean, Chair of the Marsh Farm Community Development Trust was delighted that so many people came along to enjoy the event. “Once again we all enjoyed a wonderful day and celebrated the diverse community living on the estate”, he said. “It brought together residents and local organisations to enjoy a day of fun for the whole community.”
