Helping with the final touches

Marsh Farm residents have helped to decide what will be the finishing touches for the new CERC building due to open in December.

The Marsh Farm Community Development Trust held a special consultation day recently where local people were asked to come along and give their opinions and choices on the colours, fixtures and fittings for the new £8 million building.

Representatives from both the Trust and the building contractors, Volker Fitz Patrick were on hand to chat to those who came along and answer any questions. Display boards and information were on view to give a full picture of the story so far and the finished centre.

“The views of the local community are very important”, said Dave Crean, Chair of the Trust. “This building will belong to the community and therefore it is only right that they have an input in how it should look. We really appreciated the view of the people who came along and will make sure that they are taken into account.”
